Requirements
  • A university degree in Health System Performance, Health Services Research, Applied Statistics, Data Science, Systems Engineering, Health Informatics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in health system analytics, performance measurement, quality improvement, decision support, or strategic planning is required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing performance frameworks, outcome measures, dashboards, and executive reporting is required.
  • Experience with data visualization technologies and business intelligence platforms is required.
  • Experience applying data to support continuous quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation, and organizational strategy is required.
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and interpret business requirements is required.
  • Understanding of data-visualization concepts is required.
  • Strong understanding of business drivers and key performance indicators is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of technical database management and reporting management functions is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key records management and information management standards and legislation is required.
  • Regular business hours are required, with some irregular hours expected.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly are required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain dashboards as specified by business areas.
  • Work with other team members to maintain reporting standards and adhere to information governance requirements.
  • Advise the senior management team on operational and strategic data analysis.
  • Provide data for scheduled and unscheduled reporting on contractually identified key performance indicators and performance measures, including reviewing component reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prioritize incoming requests and manage expectations and working relationships.
  • Perform data mining, analysis, and interpretation of data, reports, and trends in emergency medical services.
  • Support the ongoing development of reporting tools to reflect evolving business requirements.
  • Support business development through data analysis and modeling of system impacts.
  • Develop evidence-informed auditing tools and processes for new and existing programs, services, and initiatives.
  • Ensure privacy is respected in measurement and reporting systems.
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with business partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Health System Performance, Health Services Research, Applied Statistics, Data Science, Systems Engineering, Health Informatics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Previous work experience or knowledge of emergency medical services is an asset.
