Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and/or Technical or Vocational education
  • 2 years' experience leading maintenance teams
  • Flexibility in schedule
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and can develop engaging content
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures and operating instructions, design drawings
  • Ability to work safely around mechanical equipment and enforce OSHA regulations
  • Training Capability with lockout/tag-out requirements
  • Experience with reading electrical and mechanical drawings, and schematics for solving issues
  • Knowledge of HVAC problem solving and repairs
  • Basic understanding and competency in electricity, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and/or irrigation systems
  • Metal fabrication and/or welding experience
  • 2+ years' experience working in maintenance operations within a distribution center operations
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Maintenance techs and Facility staff with a focus on support, training, encouraging growth, and performance management
  • Monitor Cherwell tasks and ensure completion
  • Ensure completion of all preventive maintenance and repairs
  • Call for service when required of the facilities power equipment, yard trucks, generators, HVLS fans, and all other building systems
  • Guide, cross train and grow the skill set of the team members
  • Evaluate assigned project tasks, plan work assignments and project schedules to ensure work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Communicate status updates with project team/requestor
