Operations: Assists in the strategy, design, transition, operation, and improvement of LSU enterprise applications and associated infrastructure, including custom and commercial applications, both on premise and cloud based. Works with application, web, and middleware servers. Develops and maintains procedures, scripts, and job schedules to automate or facilitate application operations and maintenance. Creates and maintains operational and technical documentation related to system and application management.
Monitors systems to ensure optimal performance, effectiveness, and compliance. Ensures necessary maintenance is performed, and schedules maintenance and security updates in accordance with Change Management guidelines and best practices. Collaborates with hardware, OS, and DBA technical teams to ensure proper integration. Works closely with application development teams. (60%)
Support: Responds to application and infrastructure incidents, problems, events, and customer requests following appropriate processes. Provide technical support and training to analysts and end users as needed in solving technology related problems in a professional manner. (30%)

Minimum Qualifications:
Administrator 1-
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to demonstrate analytical thinking and communicate clearly and professionally, as well as
demonstrate an ability to provide technical support for, and administration of, web and application
servers, middleware, and business applications on Windows Server or Linux operating systems.
Administrator 2-
- Bachelor’s degree.
- One Year of experience providing technical support for, and administration of, web and application servers, middleware, and other applications on Windows Server or Linux operating systems.
Administrator 3-
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years’ experience providing technical support for, and administration of, web and applicationservers, middleware, and other applications on Windows Server or Linux operating systems. Experience working on large technical projects.

Preferred Qualifications for all levels:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, ISDS.
- Experience providing technical support for server applications, application development, database
administration, and knowledge of server technologies in a University environment. Experience
managing large, complex, technology projects.
