Job Description

This is a part time position that requires 16-24 hours/week and availability to work on weekends.

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Peterborough, ON. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in our daily operations by assisting in the dismantling and recycling process of vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about automobiles, enjoy hands-on work. 

What you’re responsible for: 

• Setting vehicles in the yard each morning according to the site plan
• Keeping vehicle rows neat, safe, and accessible for customers
• Regularly walking the yard to pick up loose debris, tools, and parts from the ground
• Removing and inspecting used tires from vehicles in the yard
• Safely removing tires from rims using hand tools or machinery
• Inspecting, sorting, and separating rims for resale or scrap recycling
• Stacking, organizing, and storing rims and tires in designated areas

Qualifications

To join our team: 

• You have previous experience in a general labour or similar role 
• You have physical stamina and are able to lift 50lbs
• You are able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
• You are reliable and willing to learn different areas of the business
• You are comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

Compensation: N/A to 20 (CAD) (HOURLY)
