Summary
A BOLDSCIENCE Senior Production Designer is a production guru who can juggle multiple deadlines while ensuring that page layouts are high-quality and error-free. A BOLD Senior Production Designer provides production support services across a range of multichannel deliverables to ensure the highest-quality standards and consistency are maintained on all outputs, while maintaining high speed, error-free throughput and working to agreed schedules. Requirements may include page layouts for print, preparation of mechanicals for press of all print items from brochures to convention booths, scientific posters, emails, banner ads, social media, knowledge and use of PPT, etc.
Day to Day Responsibilities
At BOLDSCIENCE, no two days are the same, and a Senior Production Designer plays an active, hands-on role in providing day-to-day support to the creative team. Through their proactive approach and persistence to drive actions forward, they quickly become an integral member of the team. Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing design and production support for all projects, including conference materials, large-format scientific posters, data visualizations, emails, and all collateral (external/client)
- Ensuring accurate version control and server file management is maintained
- Assisting Creative and Client Services in building cost and time estimates on production
- Ensuring expected level of Creative quality is consistent throughout the lifetime of projects
- Ensuring consistency throughout the brands, and raise any inconsistencies to the Creative Director
- Identifying issues that jeopardize team effectiveness and raise these concerns to senior colleagues
- Maintaining and promoting to colleagues an awareness of advancements, current trends, and innovations in the creative environment
- Identifying process enhancements that optimize efficiency and quality of delivery and raise these goals to senior colleagues
- Assisting with documenting and maintaining internal procedures and best practices
- Implementing the techniques and processes of the Creative function and promoting best practice
Required Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud apps (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), a working knowledge of PPT and other Office apps are also required
- Strong layout and typographical skills and good knowledge of fonts
- Strong retouching and illustration skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organization, time management and presentation skills
- Meticulous attention to detail maintaining a high standard of error-free output
- Experience in SharePoint and associated archiving/backup processes
- Knowledge and experience in multiple aspects of delivery and production (digital, print and emerging technologies)
- Solid understanding of design principles with regard to formatting, typography and use of space
- Strong communication skills to engage with designers, printers and internal/external agencies both verbally and in writing
- The ability to take instructions and follow direction from other senior creative members
- Meet deadlines and budgets while maintaining quality and consistency of output
- Manage multiple projects and prioritizes effectively
- Applies constructive and problem-solving approach to issues and challenges

- Experience in medcomms/healthcare advertising is essential
