The AvePoint Corporate Development team focuses on M&A, strategic growth opportunities and the continued development of AvePoint’s corporate strategy. This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with key executives and internal cross-functional stakeholders to assess, develop and execute on strategies to help direct AvePoint’s growth.

What your day to day will look like:

• Analyze and understand AvePoint’s strategic objectives, as well as industry trends to identify, recommend and pursue companies/technologies that can meet those objectives
• Support all aspects of deal execution including due diligence, financial modeling and negotiations
• Support the prioritization of corporate strategic initiatives
• Identify and educate executives on new, innovative technology trends and markets, and recommend high-potential acquisitions and investments
• Build relationships with internal cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, finance and legal functions
• Additionally the ideal candidate is interested in taking on financial planning & analysis responsibilities over time

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, corporate development or financial diligence/accounting roles, ideally in the technology industry  
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• Excellent attention to detail
• Demonstrated analytical skills (including financial modelling), fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation and other quantitative analyses
• Demonstrated experience influencing and communicating effectively across all levels and teams across the organization
• Demonstrated understanding of technology with an acumen to engage with product and engineering leaders on tech roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software industry experience
• Experience in SaaS financial modelling
