Requirements
  • Ability to work independently; highly organised; able to prioritise work and be self-motivated; able to manage own workload and plan and carry out individual projects from inception to completion; thorough working understanding of climate change; ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and be a people person; experience of working with or supporting climate or environmental projects would be advantageous though not explicitly stated as required; DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks or police vetting will be required for relevant posts.
Responsibilities
  • To work proactively with public sector partners to map out and deliver a range of climate adaptation projects across Suffolk in response to the declaration of a Climate Emergency and the global climate crisis.
  • Work closely with the Suffolk Climate Action Team and other stakeholders to deliver key projects and awareness to businesses, communities, schools and residents as required.
  • Play a key role in assisting Suffolk’s Councils work towards a sustainable and resilient Suffolk and provide support to all Suffolk’s Local Authorities as well as other organisations working across the county.
