Requirements

  • Strategic thinker and hands-on operator; balance long-term marketplace strategy with tactical execution, including high-level positioning, detailed messaging, launches, and enablement assets.
  • Deep private markets or financial services experience; 8–10+ years in fintech, capital markets, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, wealth management, or adjacent financial services; experience working with institutional investors or private company shareholders strongly preferred.
  • B2B or B2B2C product marketing experience; proven experience leading product marketing initiatives for institutional, enterprise, or marketplace platforms, with a track record of driving adoption and participation.
  • Institutional fluent storyteller; exceptional ability to distill complex, regulated, and market-driven products into clear, credible narratives that resonate with sophisticated investment audiences.
  • Technical and market fluency; strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, liquidity mechanisms, transaction structures, and data-driven products; ability to collaborate with product, data, and legal teams.
  • Influential cross-functional partner; demonstrated ability to work across capital markets, product, compliance, and executive stakeholders to align priorities and drive results.
  • Strong executive presence; polished written and verbal communicator, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and representing Forge with institutional customers and partners.
  • Location requirement; the role requires in-office presence in San Francisco, California, two to three days per week.
Responsibilities
  • Own product marketing strategy for institutional audiences, defining positioning, messaging, go to market plans and product campaigns that drive engagement from venture capital firms, family offices, and other institutional private company shareholders.
  • Partner deeply with product management and capital markets teams to influence roadmap direction, validate institutional supply needs, and ensure product capabilities align with seller objectives, liquidity outcomes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive go-to-market excellence for new supply side products, programs, and market structures, including leading market validation, launch planning, messaging frameworks, and execution to maximize participation and liquidity.
  • Develop institutional customer and market insights through direct engagement, research, and data analysis, using insights to refine product narratives, inform strategy, and optimize supply acquisition and retention.
  • Craft compelling narratives and content formats that articulate Forge’s value to sophisticated sellers, clearly explaining liquidity options, market access, pricing dynamics, and execution outcomes.
  • Enable business development and partnerships by creating high impact training materials, sales enablement tools, pitch narratives, and customer facing content that support supply sourcing and long-term relationships.
  • Lead competitive intelligence efforts focused on secondary platforms, liquidity solutions, and alternative transaction models, translating market dynamics into actionable positioning and strategic recommendations.
  • Steer cross-functional initiatives across product, marketing, capital markets, legal, and compliance to drive alignment and execution on initiatives that strengthen Forge’s institutional ecosystem.
