  • A high school GED is required.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and develop skills to sell foreign and domestic travel-related products and services.
  • Utilize lead management tools and resources to cultivate new business and build repeat business.
  • Advise clients on foreign and domestic travel requirements, protection plans, and trip advisory information.
  • Follow organizational policies and procedures and provide accurate transaction documentation.
  • Develop product knowledge to support the Preferred Supplier program and achieve established sales and cross-sell goals.
  • Issue international driving permits and passport photos.
  • Provide air, car, hotel, and rail reservations and ticketing for members and non-members.
  • Utilize computer systems to fulfill travel requests.
  • Track and maintain transactions and supporting documentation accurately, including signatures, payment processing, and travel-document review.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and member information in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Maintain expertise regarding Club products, services, member offers, industry trends, and product knowledge.
  • Research and compare supplier rates and adjust recommendations to client needs.
  • Maintain service quality measurements to meet branch and corporate objectives.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and provide sales leads to other departments.
  • Maintain administrative requirements, including wage-and-hour compliance, expense reports, training attendance, and scheduled duties.
  • Analyze cruise and tour packages and providers while working with management to develop necessary skills.
  • Analyze client expectations to meet the needs of first-time and experienced travelers.
  • Anticipate and avoid mistakes and service delays involving cruise and tour packages.
  • Resolve difficult situations with management assistance when required.
  • Thoroughly document files, including actions taken and decision rationales.
  • Document and explain write-offs or shortages to management.
  • Complete educational trips when required for job knowledge.
Desired Qualifications
  • An associate degree is preferred.
  • One to three years of travel agency or sales experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the organization's operating areas, products and services, and branch operations delivery channels is desirable.
  • Training on computer systems used to fulfill member travel requests and travel agency accounting systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Club systems, including Apollo, Viewpoint, and preferred vendor websites used to secure cruise and tour packages and travel insurance, is preferred.
