Requirements
  • The candidate must have 4+ years of finance or accounting experience, including at least 1 year in manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with operational stakeholders and leaders.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by finance leadership.
  • Calculate daily cost per unit and efficiency reports to drive improvements in cost and production areas.
  • Develop weekly trending variance analyses comparing performance against standard.
  • Work with engineering to develop an easy-to-read daily plant dashboard covering cost, production, shipping, efficiency, and safety.
  • Lead the yearly annual operating plan and periodic forecast updates for all plant and distribution-center labor and overhead expenses.
  • Collaborate with department managers to develop budgets for headcount, supplies, maintenance, and other expenses.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and general plant performance reports comparing results with the annual operating plan and forecasts.
  • Support the yearly standard cost roll for manufactured items across facilities by updating bills of materials and routings in alignment with the annual operating plan.
  • Maintain accurate, fully costed bills of materials for all work-in-process and finished-goods inventory throughout the year.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries in a timely manner.
  • Analyze month-end results against the annual operating plan and forecasts and explain variances.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for plant-related accrual accounts.
  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory balances across plants, warehouses, and applicable outside warehouses.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct annual physical inventory for relevant facilities.
  • Develop, improve, and implement processes and controls for the areas above.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts in the manufacturing facility.

  • Experience in consumer products manufacturing is preferred.
  • QAD enterprise resource planning experience is preferred.
