Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in global transportation, logistics, or supply chain, ideally within the high-tech, data center, or semiconductor industry.
  • A proven track record leading complex, cross-functional programs with external partners such as third-party logistics providers, carriers, and brokers.
  • Experience defining benchmarks, building dashboards, and conducting regular operational reviews for data-driven decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Transportation Management System and enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Experience with network modeling and high-volume full truckload road freight.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, and prioritization skills to run multiple programs and deadlines.
  • Deep analytical skills focused on accuracy, thoroughness, and data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee operational programs and projects supporting logistics processes and partner performance; set goals and third-party logistics performance objectives and drive performance improvement activities with suppliers and cross-functional teams to assure operational efficiency, speed, and productivity.
  • Develop and deliver initiatives and assignments from inception to closeout on time and within scope and budget, and lead and maintain efficient delivery of all services.
  • Develop recommendations and presentations to executive management on operational changes, rule and process updates, incident investigation and response, long-term strategies, and engineering project operations impacts.
  • Own the development of logistics programs, including building future artificial intelligence and automation capability.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce cost, cycle time, failures, and optimization while increasing capacity and quality.
  • Develop capacity planning and inventory strategies based on projected demand to support product launches and seasonal demand spikes.
  • Lead organizational change, ramp new sites and lanes, roll out new systems including Transportation Management System and enterprise resource planning integrations, and implement standard operating procedures, training, and governance.
  • Collaborate in developing, implementing, and administering business continuity plans covering disruption mitigation, contingency carriers, accidents, emergencies, inclement weather, natural disasters, and geopolitical events, including related communications for internal and external partners.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaborators across product, engineering, sales, finance, customer success, global trade, tax, information technology, and security to align service-level agreements with supplier commercial commitments.
  • Evaluate, develop, recommend, and communicate new or revised policies, programs, and procedures affecting cross-functional operations, including policies, standard operating procedures, communication protocols, business processes, key performance indicators, and reporting.

NVIDIA and CU Healthcare Innovation Fund invest in Verily Health's AI platform expansion

Verily Health has secured additional investment from NVIDIA and existing backer CU Healthcare Innovation Fund II. The funding extends Verily's March fundraising round. Current investors include Alphabet, Series X Capital, and UCHealth. The investment supports scaling of Verily's Pre Platform, a data and AI platform helping healthcare organisations deploy AI across research and care. Nvidia CEO declares AGI achieved with OpenAI's Astra, but markets remain unmoved

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang declared over the weekend that artificial general intelligence has arrived, citing OpenAI's newest model Astra. Markets responded tepidly: Nvidia shares fell 2% whilst companies leveraged to OpenAI, like CoreWeave and SoftBank, saw gains. Gil Luria of D.A. Davidson suggests Nvidia is "too big to grow" despite reporting $96 billion in quarterly revenue. Economist Basil Halperin argues real interest rates, not stock prices, would signal true AGI.
