Requirements
  • At least 2 years of hands-on information technology experience.
  • Experience with infrastructure deployments, technology rollouts, or implementation projects.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Wi-Fi technologies, firewalls, Microsoft 365 administration, and endpoint management.
  • Experience with multi-site environments, managed service provider environments, field services, retail, hospitality, or restaurant technology, point-of-sale systems, new location openings, or vendor management is beneficial.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Ability to travel regularly between restaurant locations.
  • Ability to participate in an after-hours on-call rotation every three weeks.
Responsibilities
  • Lead information technology buildouts for new restaurant locations from pre-opening through go-live, exercising independent judgment on technology architecture and deployment strategy across the 50-unit portfolio.
  • Deploy and configure networks, wireless systems, endpoints, and point-of-sale-adjacent technology.
  • Follow established deployment standards and implementation checklists.
  • Coordinate with restaurant managers, contractors, vendors, and third-party providers.
  • Execute network upgrades across existing locations.
  • Coordinate firewall replacements and wireless improvements.
  • Manage hardware refresh projects.
  • Support system migrations and technology rollouts.
  • Perform point-of-sale programming and menu updates.
  • Deploy point-of-sale changes across multiple locations.
  • Troubleshoot restaurant technology and coordinate with point-of-sale vendors when necessary.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Microsoft 365.
  • Support configuration cleanup projects.
  • Maintain access management and security best practices.
  • Work directly with internet providers, hardware vendors, point-of-sale providers, and software-as-a-service vendors, making autonomous decisions on point-of-sale-adjacent technology configuration.
  • Coordinate project timelines and follow up on outstanding issues, using discretion over rollout sequencing and risk mitigation.
  • Build relationships with restaurant managers and corporate staff.
  • Provide on-site and remote support when necessary.
  • Respond to priority incidents according to established service-level expectations, negotiating solutions and escalation paths.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, using discretion over access policies and security implementation.
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation every three weeks.
