Requirements
  • You should possess a Ph.D. degree with 5+ years of equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in design, simulation, and analysis of distributed feedback lasers or amplifiers, including III-V epi design and optimization.
  • 5+ years of industrial experience developing III-V based lasers or amplifiers including designs that have been taken through product qualification and are in high volume manufacturing.
Responsibilities
  • Define and drive InP based laser and optical amplifier development from initial concept through design validation and component qualification.
  • Responsible for the design, layout and analysis of test chips, and collaborate on the final integration into silicon photonic transceiver chips.
  • Perform tolerance analysis and optimize components for performance, power, area, and reliability.
  • Drive overall test chip execution and coordination including chip design, layout, tapeout, test, and validation.
  • Analyze test data from characterizations, identify performance gaps, and drive improvement plans to achieve program goals.
Desired Qualifications
  • 2+ years in designing test chips using Schematic Driven Layout
  • 2+ years JMP or other statistical data analysis software
  • 2+ years Matlab programming
