- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification from an approved, accredited Nurse Assistant training program is required, or the candidate must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and have completed at least one clinical rotation.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Three weekends are required for the first two years of employment, including every Saturday and Sunday.
- Provide selected patient-care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Monitor and record patients' temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Deliver meals and safely transport patients.
- Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.
- Float to hospital units including medical-surgical, critical care, psychiatry, and the emergency department as needed.
- At least one year of experience as a nurse's aide in a hospital is preferred.
