Location: New York, NY, Austin, TX or San Jose,CA (onsite)
Base Salary Range: 186K - 259K

As a Lead Compensation Partner, you will be responsible for building X’s new global compensation framework to build and retain world-class talent. We want to make sure our compensation programs are effective and clear to support our workforce, and pay competitively within the market. This role will be a key member of the People Org team and have a big influence on X’s success.
What You’ll Do
Assess X’s current compensation landscape including total compensation across the organization
Evaluate which compensation benchmarks X should use that are cost effective, but impactful for ensuring our compensation bands are competitive relative to other technology organizations.
Build and implement new compensation ranges for X, including both cash and equity ranges
Establish and architect X’s compensation philosophy and design.
Lead internal compensation analysis across all functions from technology, to sales.
Lead X’s internal compensation review process
Work cross functionally with the other People Team leads on people programs such as performance evaluations, calibrations, total rewards assessments, retention, and more.
Evaluate job levels and framework to ensure each employee is in the correct job profile for compensation benchmarking.
Lead compensation audits and analysis to ensure internal equity and fairness.
Mentor and train other members of the team and provide insight and guidance on compensation matters.
Who You Are
A strong analytical mind that can look at problems from several angles, and provide confident recommendations and solutions.
Someone with good knowledge of market trends and data, and how to leverage them
Has ability to work with lean resources and in a scrappy, startup environment
Have built compensation programs from the ground up and knows how to successfully implement them
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
6+ years of proven experience in compensation roles
Outstanding skills in Excel and ability to present recommendations in a clear, digestible manner
Excellent communication skills to convey ideas and input
Experience in Workday and Tableau preferred
