Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or 1-3 years of relevant experience is required, preferably in data analytics, statistics, computer science, information technology, financial analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience with Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Qualtrics, and Microsoft Office platforms is required.
  • Experience with the SPSS Statistical Programming package, including the ability to manipulate institutional or program data and perform statistical analyses, is required.
  • Experience with Qualtrics, including survey question design and creation, data collection and analysis, and reporting, is required.
  • A strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices, especially for large or complex datasets using Structured Query Language (SQL), is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
  • The ability to convert user requests into technical specifications is required.
  • The ability to quality-assure, troubleshoot, and visualize data is required.
  • The ability to assess research processes and provide recommendations for improvement is required.
  • Strong communication skills demonstrated through researching, writing, editing, and producing documentation, training materials, and reports are required.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize deadlines is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with collecting, analyzing, and submitting institutional data.
  • Develop cyclical and ad hoc data reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with and analyze large, complex datasets to inform academic decision-making.
  • Translate institutional requirements into specifications for institutional reports, analytic dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Remain current on process modifications and data collection relating to academics, student services, human resources, and finance.
  • Continually assess existing processes and procedures for possible improvement areas and provide feedback to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data.
  • Create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed.
  • Answer questions, solve problems effectively, and escalate appropriately.
  • Perform special projects and assignments as requested.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Tableau and Structured Query Language (SQL) is a plus.
  • Experience in higher education is desirable.
  • Relevant experience in data analytics, statistics, computer science, information technology, or financial analysis is preferred when used in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
