Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline such as Homeland Security or Business.
  • An associate's degree with two additional years of experience, or a high school diploma with four additional years of military and/or operations environment experience, may substitute for the bachelor's degree.
  • Specialized 24/7 operations center experience focused on cyber, emergency management, communications, or critical infrastructure.
  • Between zero and two years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • Knowledge and experience in at least two of the following: open-source monitoring and alerting, intelligence or professional report writing, and all-source analytical research of databases and systems, including classified systems.
  • Experience or expertise in one or more critical infrastructure sectors as defined by HSPD-7 and the NIPP and/or emergency management.
  • Ability and experience with Special Handling Caveats and the Traffic Light Protocol for cyber incidents.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft and Google Suite products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to solve problems at different levels with some supervision.
  • Research, analysis, and writing skills, including the ability to perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving critical infrastructures, cyber, and key resources.
  • Familiarity with known cyber threat actors and ransomware variants.
  • Ability to use the Mission Operating Environment system, Remedy, and ServiceNow.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively during high-tempo, mission-critical, and crisis operations.
  • Ability to work rotating 24/7 shifts with varying eight-hour shifts.
  • Ability to perform duties while standing for extended periods and to sit for long periods while looking at a computer screen.
  • Ability to use a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet position demands.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and hours outside normal business hours.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and pass information from one shift to the next, collaborating and sharing information vital to critical infrastructure, cyber, and key resources.
  • Perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's critical infrastructures, cyber, and key resources.
  • Evaluate current information and develop responses to critical information requirements.
  • Monitor online media sources, company news feeds, news media channels, weather channels, and designated websites for information relating to critical infrastructure and cyber.
  • Maintain knowledge of known cyber threat actors, ransomware, and distributed denial-of-service attacks.
  • Use information from the Mission Operating Environment, official operating systems, regional reporting, social media aggregation tools, and government or nongovernmental agency reports to analyze and prepare clear, concise, error-free reports addressing essential elements of information, CISA critical information requirements, priority critical information requirements, and leadership questions concerning incidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
