Requirements
  • 10 years direct experience with US Government contracting
  • A strong track record of new business development
  • Existing relationships in Washington to support our ambitions; excellent networking skills
  • You hold security clearance
  • Understanding of government contracting including account structures, procurement processes, RFPs, and standard bid requests
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and in-person
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth
  • A background in Energy is preferable
  • A background in Data & Analytics or SaaS type businesses is preferable
Responsibilities
  • Win new business to generate revenues for Kpler!
  • Research lead identification, bid organization and management of the bid process and contract administration
  • Map all prospective Federal agencies where Kpler might seek New Business
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for government sales management and growth
  • Work collaboratively with Product to ensure we can service Government needs
  • Prepare RFP's and Bid Responses for Federal opportunities
  • Develop deep relationships with government acquisition personnel and buyers
  • Creation and maintenance of proposal and contract documents relative to government procurement schedules, projects, and contracts; to include preparation of responses to solicitations in the form of proposals and quotations
  • Management of the government business opportunity pipeline and tracking the status of proposal development with internal teams to ensure submittal deadlines are met
  • Oversee contract compliance (i.e. status, renewal, reporting, modifications, etc.)
  • Generate and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements
  • Participate in continuous learning activities and involvement in a variety of projects related to Government Sales and improvement
  • Ultimately be responsible for overall growth and expansion in our Federal business - within existing contracts and gaining new contracts - and meet sales targets
