Requirements
  • A Master of Science degree in Nursing is required.
  • An APRN license with certification as a nurse practitioner is required.
  • No relevant professional experience is required.
  • Final candidates must successfully complete a background check.
  • A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
Responsibilities
  • Provide antenatal, postpartum, and gynecological care to patients in a clinic setting.
  • Work with nurse practitioners and other members of the inter-professional collaborative practice team to formulate treatment plans.
  • Triage patients and provide emergency treatment when appropriate.
  • Conduct in-service training and monitor the skill levels of clinical staff.
  • Teach and mentor health professional students on the theory and practice of care delivery by an inter-professional team.
  • Serve as preceptor for registered nurse, advanced practice nurse, and medical students.
  • Consult and refer women to an appropriate provider for conditions outside the scope of midwifery care.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Midwife or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner qualification.
  • Zero to two years of relevant experience.
