Requirements
  • At least 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree, or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Expertise in one or more general development languages, such as Go, Java, C#, or C++.
  • Experience building and deploying modern services with quality and scalability.
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Test, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of and ability to develop back-end code, such as Go, C/C++, containers, and gRPC, in support of platform development.
  • Ability to develop and apply Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for building software applications.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and distributed systems, including hands-on work with Kafka or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including testing strategies, automation, deployment, and release strategies.
  • Deep expertise in observability, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Experience developing cloud-ready components.
  • Utilization of Generative Artificial Intelligence models and software for code development.
  • Knowledge of database software to maintain, modify, and output data.
  • Knowledge of systems integration processes for combining separately produced components or subsystems and addressing interaction problems.
  • Knowledge of data structures and their organization, management, storage, access, and modification.
  • Expertise in architecting, developing, and debugging polyglot architecture and systems.
Responsibilities
  • Design code and systems while influencing internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop software solutions for Visa technical offerings.
  • Contribute to product quality improvements, service technology, and new business flows in agile squads.
  • Develop robust and scalable products for merchants, business-to-business, and business-to-government solutions.
  • Build technologies for Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later products.
  • Provide strategic technical and functional knowledge of the e-commerce platform and direct strategy for collecting and understanding requirements.
  • Lead meetings with product partners to recommend development and solution strategies that improve interface features across payment products.
  • Formalize standard processes for using programming languages such as C++ and Go to write code fulfilling website modification requests and technical requirements.
  • Lead and plan the piloting and integration of new technology capabilities and features that enhance e-commerce website experiences.
  • Analyze bug patterns and implement systemic solutions to keep websites functional and easy to use.
