Requirements
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Experience leading through other leaders; this can be through technical leads or people managers
  • Proven ability to collaborate with product/program managers, designers, and peers to build plans, set expectations, and successfully deliver new 0 to 1 products and features
  • A strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset, backed by data analytics skills
  • Solid technical foundations: while this is not a hands-on coding role, you should still show sound foundational system design knowledge and be able to guide a team through a technical discussion
  • Ability to recruit and build high-performing teams to build the next generation of GlossGenius products!
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience as a frontend engineer or leading a full-stack / web-focused team is a nice to have.
Responsibilities
  • Managing and growing a team of talented senior and staff engineers
  • Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other cross-functional teams to establish the long-term technical and product vision
  • Prioritizing, planning, and ensuring alignment across the team and other cross-functional business teams to execute key initiatives
  • Implementing new and effective engineering processes emphasizing quality and progress on key product initiatives
  • Partnering with recruiting to build a high-performing engineering team
