Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current BLS or obtained during introductory period
  • Must be enrolled in ASTEP program with completion and successful registry completed in twelve months
  • Maintains AASM Registry: RPSGT, RST or RCP with SDS (submit 50 CEU’s every 5 years) required.
Responsibilities
  • Performs Nocturnal Polysomnograms, Multiple Sleep Latency studies and CPAP titrations through the use of specialized equipment
  • Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation
  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within
  • Under the direction of a physician, administers various sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders
  • Performs routine patient assessments, scores sleep records, documents other test results, and collects and transmits biological specimens for analysis.
