Solid Power develops and produces all-solid-state battery cells aimed at enhancing the performance of electric vehicles (EVs). These batteries utilize sulfide-based solid electrolytes, which allow for efficient ion movement and easy manufacturing, resulting in batteries that are safer, more energy-dense, and less expensive than traditional options. Solid Power's technology leads to reduced battery size and weight, longer driving ranges, and lower costs for EV manufacturers. The company distinguishes itself by focusing on the automotive sector, partnering with major clients like BMW and Ford, and collaborating with SK Innovation to scale production. Solid Power's goal is to advance energy storage solutions to support the growth of electric mobility.
