Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Have a valid Driver’s license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program
Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Management: Organize and execute backcountry dinners and handle reservation needs.
  • Supply Procurement and Logistics: Purchase and transport food, linens, alcohol, and drinks; manage supplies and personnel in variable trail conditions.
  • Facility Maintenance: Shovel snow, clear walkways, perform basic hut maintenance (e.g., propane, water, food prep), and conduct generator upkeep.
  • Staff Oversight and Cleanup: Delegate tasks during meals, manage evening cleanup, and handle alcohol sales at events.
  • Hospitality and Guest Experience: Exceptional Service: Create memorable backcountry dining experiences, provide excellent customer service, and address guest inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Effective Communication: Engage with diverse guests using strong interpersonal skills.
  • Administrative Duties: Administrative Support: Assist with tour scheduling, payment processing, and maintain accurate guest and tour records.
  • Environmental Awareness and Education: Conservation and Education: Stay informed on local regulations and best practices in outdoor recreation; educate guests on environmental conservation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Cooking experience
  • Knowledge of safety practices, CPR/first aid certification
  • Familiarity with local geography, trails, and conservation principles.
  • May require lifting and moving up to 75 pounds.
