Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or related fields and three years of experience in health plan design, decision support, clinical data analysis, health plan operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Responsibilities
  • Supports 5 to 8 enterprise initiatives by developing project plans, tracking milestones, documenting risks, and preparing executive updates.
  • Analyzes workflows, map processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose solutions grounded in systems engineering principles.
  • Develops business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and operational models for proposed initiatives.
  • Prepares dashboards, presentations, and communication artifacts for governance meetings.
  • Supports development of communication materials, training guides, and readiness assessments.
  • Participates in change champion groups and facilitate small-group sessions.
  • Helps measure adoption, gather user feedback, and refine rollout plans.
  • Assists with mapping current-state member and provider journeys, capturing pain points and handoffs.
  • Conducts user interviews, shadow clinical/operational teams, and synthesize findings into insights.
  • Supports creation of future-state journey designs incorporating digital tools, automation, and human-centered design.
  • Builds service blueprints outlining processes, systems, data flows, and responsibilities.
  • Conducts market scans of benefit trends, supplemental programs, and employer plan innovations.
  • Models financial implications of benefit design changes and analyze historic utilization patterns.
  • Evaluates pilot programs (e.g., mental health, digital health) through data analysis & feedback.
  • Supports A/B testing and measure impact on member behavior and cost.
  • Partners with IT and vendors to support requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and workflow design for digital platforms (member portal, provider portal, CRM, analytics tools).
  • Conducts usability testing with members and providers.
  • Tracks adoption metrics and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Works with and as a part of analytics teams to develop dashboards, interpret insights, and support predictive modeling use cases (e.g., high-risk identification, care gap prediction).
  • Helps evaluate AI vendors and document decision frameworks. Participates in building responsible AI governance processes and monitoring early AI pilots.
  • Supports planning & readiness activities for the upcoming digital platforms migrations.
  • Helps coordinate cross-functional workstreams, testing cycles, and cutover documentation.
  • Tracks issues, system defects, and dependencies across vendors.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering, Healthcare Management, Public Health (MPH), Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Additional experience and technical skills preferred: Exposure to healthcare, consulting, operations research, digital transformation, or analytics. Experience with process mapping, workflow design, or service design.
  • Experience supporting projects or cross-functional teams through consulting clubs, capstones, internships, or co-ops.
  • Strong analytical skills: Excel, Python or R (preferred), and data visualization (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Process mapping tools (Lucidchart, Miro, Visio).
  • Familiarity with Agile, Lean, Design Thinking, or systems engineering frameworks.
