Requirements
  • A Level 3 Early Years Foundation Stage Childcare Qualification is essential.
  • Experience working within Early Years settings is required.
  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and safeguarding requirements is required.
  • The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and manage multiple responsibilities in an organized and proactive manner.
  • The candidate must be passionate about working with children and supporting their development.
  • The candidate must be able to lead by example and inspire a team.
  • The role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, a Children's Barred List Check, satisfactory suitability checks, two references including the most recent employer, appropriate vetting documentation, and completion of the employer's application form.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the delivery of engaging Early Years Foundation Stage-based activities.
  • Oversee daily routines and ensure high-quality care and provision.
  • Supervise, support, and motivate team members.
  • Plan structured activities including games, arts and crafts, structured play, and age-appropriate sports activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, safeguarding requirements, and health and safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation.
  • Communicate with parents, staff, schools, and central operations.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Take responsibility for the safeguarding and welfare of children in their care.
  • Support behaviour management and promote positive engagement.
