Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
We are looking for a Vendor Systems Administrator who will help provide day-to-day support and maintenance for third party systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Coordinate with external vendors to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades.
- Implement and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of DevOps best practices and processes.
- Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role within the financial industry, preferably in hedge funds or asset management.
- Experience in vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, SLA management.
- Proficiency in administering and supporting third-party vendor systems (e.g., trading platforms, risk management systems).
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible (preferred), Puppet, or Chef.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and proactive issue mitigation skills.
- Excellent communication skills for technical teams, traders, portfolio managers, and vendors.
Salary Range
$130,000—$180,000 USD
