  • Or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Engineering/Technology & Testing experience
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of NDT certifying agents and professionals
  • Develop and implement NDT strategies and procedures for suppliers in alignment with aerospace industry standards and company requirements.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and drive improvement for supplier NDT processes.
  • Coordinate and manage supplier NDT activities to ensure compliance with quality specifications, engineering requirements, and regulatory standards (e.g., AS9100, NAS410, NADCAP).
  • Perform audits and assessments of suppliers' NDT processes, including on-site visits, to evaluate adherence to required standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, quality, and sourcing to address any NDT-related issues, ensuring that supplier performance meets the company’s quality objectives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on best practices for NDT methodologies (e.g., ultrasonic, radiographic, FPI, airflow, magnetic particle, eddy current testing, etc.).
  • Analyze NDT reports and data from suppliers, ensuring appropriate documentation and traceability of inspections.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication to address NDT performance issues, resolve non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics related to supplier NDT performance (e.g., defect rates, audit results, corrective actions, tech-plan approval).
  • Ensure that suppliers' NDT technicians and inspectors are properly trained and certified in relevant testing methods.
  • Support the development and implementation of supplier corrective action plans when NDT-related defects or issues arise.
  • Lead the review and approval of NDT procedures submitted by suppliers, ensuring they are aligned with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Collaborate with other AIS leaders on NDT supplier quality, NPI, and field findings.
  • Expand global NDT certifying agent pipeline.
  • Engage with regulatory and industry standard committees (e.g. NADCAP, ASNT, ASTM, AIA)
  • Develop 'standard work' for supplier NDT processes
  • Utilize the FLIGHT DECK operating model to drive continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) standards.
