Requirements
  • A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Developmental Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) with specific training in assessment of pediatric and adolescent neurodevelopmental disorders, including specific learning disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disability.
  • Ability to maintain clean background and drug screenings and a clean driving record.
  • Prior training experience with the assessment, administration, scoring, and interpretation of neuropsychological tests.
  • Experience administering measures and tests of intellectual functioning, development, autism spectrum disorder including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), social communication, and emotional and behavioral functioning.
  • Maintain an active license and good standing with the state board of psychology.
  • Comply with ABA Centers of America’s Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security policies.
  • English proficiency is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological, and/or psychoeducational evaluations of clients with referral concerns related to learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or social difficulties.
  • Provide written and oral feedback to clients regarding evaluation results, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for appropriate remediation, including referrals.
  • Conduct in-person and/or virtual comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological, and/or psychoeducational evaluations.
  • Provide feedback sessions with the patient or the patient’s legal guardian when the patient is a minor.
  • Compile a written report detailing evaluation findings, diagnoses, and recommendations for the patient’s medical record and for sharing with the patient or legal guardian and referral source in accordance with HIPAA privacy and security plans.
  • Ensure written documentation is completed and uploaded in a timely manner according to departmental policy.
  • Provide individual or group supervision and training in neuropsychological testing and assessment to Diagnostic Specialists, Psychometrists, and Technicians.
  • Seek supervision when needed.
  • Remain current in psychology and pursue continuing education related to psychological and neuropsychological testing of pediatric patients.
  • Participate in weekly regional clinical training meetings, including presenting at weekly Psychology Assessment Didactic Seminars.
  • Collaborate with team members to support the mission of ABA Centers of America, including attending routine departmental and general staff meetings.
