Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in analyzing and interpreting data related to credit market or economics.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
  • Strong quantitative skills and fluency in applied statistics and econometrics.
  • Experience using Python, SQL, R, SAS, etc. for statistical analysis and data manipulation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
  • Analyzing and interpreting datasets related to the agency and non-agency RMBS markets.
  • Presenting data and conclusions in a clear and efficient manner to a wide range of senior stakeholders.
  • Staying on top of industry-related news and analyzing the implications of news/industry developments.
  • Supporting senior strategist in producing and publishing innovative research.
  • Collaborating with the broader Macro Research team.
  • Supporting internal stakeholders in institutional client services (sales and trading) and across the firm.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with vendor data such as Intex, Bloomberg, Yield Book, Reuters and Haver is a plus.
  • Professional writing experience a plus e.g. crafting research notes.
  • Ability to work in team-centric environment.
