SUMMARY:
The Operations Director for TPA is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of our third-party administration services. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and overall client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in TPA management, team leadership, and process improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Leadership
• Lead and manage the TPA operations team, fostering a high-performance culture that aligns with organizational goals.
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize TPA service delivery, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, performance metrics, and SLAs to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Drive the development of scalable processes, technologies, and workflows to support growth and operational excellence.
• Client & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as the main point of contact for client escalations and complex issue resolution.
• Collaborate with sales, account management, and client services teams to onboard new clients and address ongoing needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure TPA operations adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks in partnership with compliance and legal teams.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to safeguard data security, privacy, and compliance.
• Financial Management
• Oversee budget planning, cost control, and financial analysis for TPA operations.
• Track operational expenses and optimize resources to meet financial objectives.
• Prepare financial and operational reports for senior leadership.
• Team Development
• Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team, emphasizing professional growth and career development.
• Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, and regular evaluations.
• Foster a collaborative environment where team members feel empowered to innovate and contribute to the company’s success.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Experience
• Minimum of 3 years in TPA operations or a similar role in insurance, healthcare, or financial services.
• Proven experience managing large teams and complex operational processes.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for TPA services.
• Skills
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in relevant TPA software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
