Requirements
  • Coursework or equivalent experience in quantum mechanics, computational physics/scientific software development, solid state physics, semiconductor devices, numerical analysis, and/or parallel programming.
  • Experience in physics-based modeling and numerical simulation, preferably including knowledge of high-performance computing techniques.
  • Background in collaborative code development utilizing multiple computer languages, including C++ and Python.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with fellow team members, present ideas and results in technical presentations, and contribute to written research reports.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Active security clearance or ability to apply for security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Write and maintain scientific modeling software.
  • Generate simulation data.
  • Analyze numerical results for quantum devices such as semiconductor spin qubits.
  • Draw on and extend capabilities in solid-state physics, quantum information science, and scientific code development.
