- Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
- Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or have pending practical nurse licensure.
- Must maintain current Basic Life Support/ cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if working in an assisted living facility.
- Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, deliver efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient and family satisfaction.
- Evaluate patients and residents to collect data, observe their condition, and report changes in condition.
- Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
- Administer medications and perform treatments according to physician orders.
- Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
