Requirements
  • 5 to 12 years of experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3–12 years of hands-on IT application development experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on IT development experience with Guidewire (Claim Center configuration, Policy Center integration/configuration, and Billing Center (BC) 8.0 or higher) is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL (SQL Server/Oracle/DB2) or NoSQL-related technologies is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience integrating with RESTful/SOAP web services is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain complex integrations between Guidewire (Claim Center configuration, Policy Center integration/configuration, and Billing Center) and external systems (legacy applications, third-party services, etc.) using APIs, web services, and message queues.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions leveraging Guidewire's integration capabilities (e.g., IT Types, Business Services, Data Maps).
  • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and Guidewire development standards.
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in integration testing with QA and other teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to ensure smooth data flow between systems.
  • Stay up to date on the latest Guidewire integration features and functionalities.
  • Estimate integration development effort and provide accurate timelines.
  • Document technical design and implementation decisions.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of integration automation tools and scripts.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in application integration.
  • Work effectively with business analysts, solution architects, and other developers to understand requirements and design optimal integration solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate integration risks.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Property & Casualty (P&C) domain knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design best practices.
  • Researching and preparing detailed functional specifications.
  • Estimating, planning, and tracking development tasks.
  • Experience debugging production issues and resolving them.
  • Identifying application performance bottlenecks and resolving them.
  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration practices, processes, and tools (Jenkins, JUnit, GitLab).
  • Proficient in writing configurable, maintainable, and testable code in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective collaborator in group settings.
  • Ability to thrive in a semi-structured environment with dynamic requirements and priorities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Experience working in an onsite/offshore model.
