About the Role
The Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement ) plays a critical leadership role in advancing the University’s global reputation and presence, cultivating strategic international partnerships, and providing strategic advice in shaping innovative approaches to drive international student success, recruitment and engagement. Providing visionary leadership and advocacy to ensure the University’s international goals are aligned with its broader institutional strategy, this role champions excellence and continuous improvement.
As a key member of the leadership team of the Portfolio of the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor, the position has a collaborative relationship with the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) Portfolio to support the University’s international research agenda

About You
Strategic operations within the higher education sector (preferably at a university), is a prerequisite for this role, as you steer Flinders University to being the university of choice for international students and collaborations.
Your high-level intercultural competence and global mindset, along with your ability to foster meaningful relationships across diverse cultures, regions and communities is matched by your advanced proficiency in political influence, stakeholder engagement, and strategic negotiation, and proven ability to influence outcomes in complex environments.
You are a consummate professional and fearless when approaching change, while also coaching and encouraging your team to join you on the ride. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, and track record of building collaborative and high-performing relationships across internal and external networks will be one of the keys to your success.
About the Portfolio
The Office of the Pro Vice Chancellor Global Engagement refreshed its structure to deliver future needs including strategic leadership to further enhance performance, strengthen capacity, whilst setting an ambitious strategy for 2024 and beyond!!! Key to this is driving international student enrolments through an enhanced focus on international recruitment and partnerships working in close collaboration with our Colleges and Portfolios.
