Requirements
  • 3+ years Experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field, with a strong preference for expertise in using the Coupa platform.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and best practices in contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of Coupa and other procurement software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
  • Lead the management of contract creation, execution, and analysis for the purpose of maximizing financial and operational performance and minimizing risk.
  • Ensure all contracts are compliant with company policies and government regulations.
  • Oversee the contract lifecycle within Coupa, including initial requests, drafting, signing, renewals, and termination.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, legal, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure contracts are aligned with company goals and legal requirements.
  • Utilize Coupa to provide visibility into contract statuses, compliance, and performance analytics
  • Develop and implement processes for efficient and streamlined contract management in Coupa.
  • Train and guide team members on using Coupa for contracts management.
  • Stay updated on industry practices and regulations related to contracts management.

Owens & Minor names Darby Thompson VP of Strategic Business Development. April 7, 2026- Darby Thompson is joining Owens & Minor as Vice President (VP), Strategic Business Development and will report to Dean Huibregtse, Senior Vice President (SVP) Strategic Business Development. After working in various Commercial Account roles at Owens & Minor in the early 2000s, Darby went on to lead business development strategies in the industry and most recently served as the Director of Health System Strategy at Hanger Clinic. He is bringing his over 25 years of healthcare experience and a proven track record in business development with IDNs and GPOs to Owens & Minor.

Owens & Minor has appointed Dirk Benson as Chief Commercial Officer, effective immediately. Benson will oversee enterprise-wide commercial strategy and manage the company's US sales organisation, operations and customer service teams. Benson brings over 30 years of healthcare industry experience, most recently serving as president of US Distribution Business for Henry Schein. He previously spent 27 years at Medline Industries in senior leadership positions. The appointment comes as Owens & Minor transitions to private ownership under Platinum Equity, which acquired the company's medical distribution and healthcare services business on 31st December 2025.
