Responsibilities
  • Oversees the US Learning strategy and objectives
  • Accountable for developing and defining Learning Solutions
  • Ensures a consistent and high-quality learning experience for colleagues across the US
  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Develops AMCB learning plan and provides input to evolving enterprise learning strategies and priorities, consistent with business objectives, and Human Resources strategic imperatives, and recognizing emerging trends in the workforce and workplace
  • Implements learning solutions in response to the business need, leveraging existing Enterprise L&D design and delivery services
  • Drives the blended learning approach via a wide variety of learning and development solutions, programs and tools aligned to business/HR objectives and talent management strategy
  • Provides expertise to partners on emerging learning initiatives, best practices and/or available industry options that support AMCB business needs and align to enterprise L&D strategies
  • Ensures learning programs that involve the U.S. are well managed and administered, locally; coordinates and ensures the prompt and thorough resolution of broad and complex issues
  • Provides change management leadership for implementation of enterprise and/or local learning initiatives in the U.S.
  • Keeps abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assesses potential impacts to the bank
  • Benchmark and analysis of emerging trends and market intelligence of best in class practices against both competitors and non-competitors
  • Develops and maintains key industry associations, internal and external relationships, ensuring we continue to leverage best practices

The Firm represented The Toronto-Dominion Bank (“TD”) in connection with its U.S. public offering of US$2.0 billion aggregate principal amount of its (i) US$1,000,000,000 4.574% Senior Medium-Term Notes, Series F, due 2028; (ii) US$700,000,000 4.808% Senior Medium-Term Notes, Series F, due 2030; and (iii) US$300,000,000 Floating Rate Senior Medium-Term Notes, Series F, due 2028 under its Medium-Term Notes program. The net proceeds from the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include hedging TD’s obligations under the notes and/or funding of TD’s affiliate TD Securities (USA) LLC.
