Responsibilities
  • Support the US medical strategy for the thoracic portfolio and pipeline through the US Medical Plan, including launch preparation and product improvement strategies, in collaboration with Brand, Product, Medical, and Development teams.
  • Partner with the Development team to accelerate the innovative pipeline by providing strategic input on the US treatment landscape, registrational strategies, and product improvement strategies.
  • Support development of a comprehensive US medical plan for SCLC pipeline products, including external stakeholder management, scientific communications, evidence generation, and medical education strategy.
  • Contribute to global product strategy through understanding of the US medical environment, sharing insights, and engaging external experts.
  • Facilitate and continue building Amgen's role as a science-based and patient-focused partner.
  • Partner with Global Development Leads and Medical Leads to support evidence-generation activities and ensure the Evidence Generation Plan captures critical US needs.
  • Continue building Amgen's reputation as a reliable science-based and patient-focused partner.
Desired Qualifications
  • An MD plus an accredited fellowship in Hematology-Oncology, with board certification or board eligibility.
  • At least 2 years of Medical Affairs, clinical research, or basic science research experience in Hematology-Oncology.
  • At least 2 years of clinical research or basic science experience combined with clinical teaching and patient care activities, ideally in the thoracic tumor field.
  • Experience engaging and interacting with stakeholders such as opinion leaders, advocacy groups, and payers.
  • An in-depth understanding of the scientific method and clinical application based on medical, scientific, and practical rationale.
  • Familiarity with clinical research, clinical trial design, real-world evidence, and biostatistics.
  • Sound scientific and medical judgment.
  • Familiarity with regulations and guidelines governing pharmaceutical industry practices.

Amgen to open new science and innovation centre in Hyderabad's Genome Valley

Amgen announced plans to open a new Science and Innovation Center in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, expected to be operational in 2027. The facility will join Amgen's global Research and Development network of seven research laboratories, expanding the company's scientific capabilities. The center will bring together scientists and technologists across discovery chemistry, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, and precision medicine. It will integrate experimental science with data and digital innovation to accelerate the discovery and development of medicines. "The new center in Genome Valley expands the way we integrate experimental science with data and technology across our global research capabilities," said Jay Bradner, executive vice president of Research and Development, Artificial Intelligence and Data at Amgen. The facility will complement Amgen's existing technology and innovation site in Hyderabad.

Amgen fair value rises to $372 after Q2 beat sparks analyst target hikes to $450
