Requirements
  • A Master's degree is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project and/or program management, effective collaboration, results-based operations, or performance management in a consulting, nonprofit, education, or philanthropic environment is required; relevant coursework may compensate for years of experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in education and social-sector data analytics is required.
  • Demonstrated success with client management is required.
  • Experience with mixed-methods design, including quantitative and qualitative analyses, is required.
  • Experience managing large-scale, complex analytical projects using multiple data sources, including education and social-program administration data, is required.
  • Ability to train staff and conduct quality control on staff work using SPSS, SAS, Stata, Python, and R is required.
  • Experience managing clients and client projects with multiple stakeholders and evolving priorities is required.
  • Experience managing projects, processes, and teams, including the ability to work under tight timelines, assess problems accurately, and develop solutions, is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and serve as the primary analytic relationship manager for client engagements with state and local education agencies, nonprofits, and funders.
  • Manage client kick-off and close-out processes for analytics and ensure adherence to data privacy and exchange protocols and documentation of client business rules.
  • Build, manage, and sustain relationships with clients, technical assistance partners, funders, and staff across the organization.
  • Lead and manage analytic project plans, content, deliverables, staffing, consultant expertise, tools, and frameworks for client engagements.
  • Provide actionable feedback to project team members and clients.
  • Ensure client-ready content and deliverables are clear, actionable, aligned with protocols, well documented, and improved as needed.
  • Ensure high-quality analytic content for in-person and virtual meetings, working sessions, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop analytic approaches that meet client needs and support sustainability and impact objectives.
  • Design and implement analyses ranging from descriptive statistics to program evaluation and visualize information for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify coding challenges, resolve or escalate them with the data team, and support data analysts in resolving challenges.
  • Manage the team data-management structure, including project privacy controls and a library of robust, documented scripts for automating common tasks.
  • Develop work plans for analytic tasks and assign specific tasks or analyses to other analysts.
  • Perform complex analytic tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Manage organizational data policies, security, and protocols.
  • Lead data collection, analysis, visualization, and processes for internal data and reports, including management reports, objectives and key results, and impact dashboards.
  • Lead internal and departmental continuous-improvement development and processes supported by management reports and detailed analyses.
  • Co-develop plans and help set, meet, and adjust data-team allocations and performance targets.
  • Supervise staff assembling, cleaning, managing, and analyzing large longitudinal datasets from multiple sources.
  • Provide guidance and quality control for staff work covering data cleaning, coding, and analytics.
  • Train and help grow team members in core and advanced data-analytic tasks.
  • Attract, develop, coach, supervise, and retain high-performing team members and provide actionable feedback.
  • Contribute to strategy development and implementation for Project Evident.
  • Participate actively as a member of the management team.
  • Engage in business development and secure funding for the Data Hub.
  • Represent the organization externally and manage complex analytical projects, teams, and clients.
