- You have 5+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer, Data App Developer, or Full-Stack Engineer building interactive web applications.
- You are proficient in full stack Python, DBSQL and/or Node.js.
- Experience with frameworks like Streamlit, Dash, Flask, FastAPI, React, or Express is required.
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Databricks SDK for Python, and Model Serving is highly preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code, specifically Databricks Asset Bundles, and implementing secure OAuth flows.
- Experience integrating Data, Genie, and LLM frameworks into application backends to deliver intelligent conversational and voice-driven analytics solutions.
- You can translate stakeholder requirements into intuitive user interfaces, work through dependencies, and troubleshoot deployment errors or telemetry logs.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data web applications, AI chatbots, and custom operational interfaces using frameworks such as Streamlit, React, and FastAPI.
- Design and develop robust frontend interfaces and API backends, including FastAPI routing user queries to model-serving endpoints.
- Build data-rich dashboards and enterprise chat solutions powered by the Mosaic AI Agent Framework.
- Design secure and scalable application architectures to support go-to-market requirements for custom SaaS applications.
- Create scalable applications that connect to Databricks SQL through the Statement Execution API or Databricks SDK.
- Establish continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using Declarative Automation Bundles to automate deployment across development, staging, and production workspaces.
- Familiarity with Unity Catalog, Databricks SQL, Databricks SDK for Python, and Model Serving.

San Francisco-based Databricks raised $5 billion in August 2024 at a $190 billion valuation. The platform serves over 70% of Fortune 500 companies and more than 20,000 organisations worldwide. Databricks crossed a $7 billion revenue run rate in its most recent quarter, growing over 80% year-on-year whilst maintaining positive free cash flow. This investment follows AIX's deployment of over one-third of its portfolio across positions including ByteDance, Helsing, and Handshake. The trust aims to provide Australian investors access to private AI market leaders typically limited to institutional investors. GCM Grosvenor manages the trust's investments and is in advanced discussions to close several additional positions.

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter.
