Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline (must be conferred by the time of appointment)
  • Experience in a biological or health sciences research setting
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with standard scientific software
Responsibilities
  • Support ongoing research focused on chromatin dynamics and function
  • Work with DNA and protein samples using techniques such as PCR, gel electrophoresis, chromatography, and protein purification
  • Prepare and catalog samples
  • Maintain lab equipment
  • Assist students in lab procedures
  • Collaborate with graduate students
  • May supervise undergraduate workers
  • Participate in weekly lab meetings
  • Lead independent projects
  • Contribute to manuscripts and grant proposals
  • Present at research conferences
Desired Qualifications
