Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in English and perform basic arithmetic computations.
  • Numerical and analytical skills are required to prepare contrast media and follow procedures involving quantitative symbols.
  • Understanding of radiation safety parameters and ALARA is required.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients while considering aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns.
  • Basic Life Support and intravenous certification are required within six months of hire.
  • The position requires considerable standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and equipment handling, as well as manual dexterity to operate required equipment.
  • The employee must maintain required hospital training and certification.
Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to and from imaging modalities.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines for magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, X-ray, nuclear medicine, and other imaging modalities.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance and maintain cleanliness of imaging rooms, patient changing rooms, and imaging equipment.
  • Maintain supply levels, perform daily inventory, store supplies appropriately, and order supplies as assigned.
  • Receive, verify, unpack, inspect, and organize supplies; report damaged or unusable items and assist with returns.
  • Stock rooms with laundry and appropriate supplies and maintain stock and linen areas in a clean, orderly manner.
  • Pick up and deliver department supplies and materials, including linen, contrast material, and stock requests.
  • Perform simple record-keeping duties and interact with vendors or hospital accounting personnel regarding orders and deliveries.
  • Prepare contrast material within the limits of formal training and written department procedures.
  • Provide messenger and radiology patient and equipment transport services.
  • Secure, clean, and prepare stretchers, wheelchairs, and related transport equipment, and report needed repairs.
  • Greet and identify patients, escort them to the appropriate department, explain basic procedures, and respond to questions and concerns.
  • Assist nurses and technologists with dressing, lifting, positioning, and transferring patients for imaging procedures, using slide boards, HoverMatt systems, and Hoyer lifts as needed.
  • Assist patients with changing for procedures.
  • Assist radiographers and radiologists during procedures, including positioning special kits or trays and remaining in the room during fluoroscopy and minor interventional procedures to provide requested supplies.
  • Package laboratory specimens and verify that they have the proper patient information.
  • Insert, monitor, and remove intravenous catheters using appropriate infection-control standards.
  • Work with oxygen and other support devices within the scope of training and patient-care policies.
  • Observe patients awaiting testing and immediately report adverse reactions or unusual behaviors to the technologist.
  • Assist radiographers with portable radiographic procedures.
  • Review medical information in charts and departmental documents and provide and review patient screening forms and information sheets.
  • Process information in PACS, LifeChart, and other applications, including reviewing exam worklists for completeness and patient readiness.
  • Assist clerical staff, answer telephones, relay messages, photocopy, perform data entry, and support the department during downtime.
  • Provide training and instruction to newly hired staff on job duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection-control standards and observe patient privacy policies.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of a technologist assistant training program, previous experience as a technologist assistant or technologist aide, a clinical background, or enrollment in a healthcare track program is preferred.

(“TriSalus” or the “company”), an oncology company in the process of going public through a business combination transaction (the “Business Combination”) with MedTech Acquisition Corporation (Nasdaq: MTAC) (“MedTech” or “MTAC”), today announced that it has expanded the reach of its ongoing Pressure-Enabled Regional Immuno-Oncology™ (“PERIO™-01” and “PERIO™-02”) clinical program.In recent months TriSalus has opened five new PERIO™-01 (NCT04935229) clinical trial sites, at Stanford University Hospitals, University of California Los Angeles, University of Colorado’s Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Washington Medical Center and University of Miami’s Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, in addition to five previously activated sites.
