About the role
The Senior Accountant will partner with the Director of Accounting and others within, and outside, the finance team to ensure Starburst has strong financial controls and an efficient and accurate close process. This role will be very hands on and play an integral part in accounting operations with opportunities to work on various projects as we scale.
Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and
- supporting schedules
- Assist with accruals, fixed assets, prepaids, and other close areas
- Play a key role in providing monthly reporting and analysis
- Evaluate and document processes and implement process improvements
- Provide supporting documents for audit
- Participate in the preparation of financials, footnotes, and other schedules for the annual audit
- Ad-hoc projects
Qualifications
- Experience playing a key role in the financial close process of a rapidly
- growing company
- Strong Excel skills
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Extremely detail oriented
- Experience with NetSuite and Ramp a plus
The base salary range for this US full-time position is $90,000 - $130,000, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. All candidates receive equity (ISO) and access to a comprehensive benefits offering. The base salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for candidates across all US locations. Work location, skills, experience, and any relevant education or training determine the compensation awarded to the candidate.
