Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing as a registered nurse.
  • Current registered nurse state licensure.
  • Completion of Fresenius Internal Clinical Leadership Training, Milestone I and Milestone 2.
  • At least 2 years of Clinical Manager experience at Fresenius Medical Enterprise.
  • At least 6 months of chronic or acute dialysis nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies and management skills, including communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.
  • Demonstrated management skills necessary to supervise facility personnel and ensure delivery of quality patient care.
  • Successful completion of the Ishihara Color Blind Test.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee daily dialysis facility operations in accordance with legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager or Charge Nurse to provide quality patient care from admission through discharge.
  • Make daily decisions to ensure continuity of care and patient and staff safety.
  • Market available services through presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services departments.
  • Oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program in collaboration with the Home Therapies Program Manager.
  • Maintain medical and operational records and complete required data collection, auditing, coding, network reporting, and state or federal surveys.
  • Coordinate short- and long-term objectives and manage costs, methods, staffing, and operational results.
  • Administer daily business operations, including center staff functions, patient-care quality, physical plant and equipment maintenance, and inventory control.
  • Manage profit and loss and other financial aspects of the center to meet budget and key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate patient care, assessments, care plans, schedules, missed-treatment action plans, and patient or family concerns.
  • Participate in selecting and hiring team members and ensure completion of onboarding, orientation, mandatory training, licensure, and certification requirements.
  • Provide ongoing staff support, professional development, feedback, performance evaluations, annual goals, and disciplinary documentation.
  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll, staffing levels, hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions.
  • Facilitate physician privileges and maintain effective relationships and communication with physicians and the Medical Director.
  • Implement continuous quality improvement and Quality Assessment and Improvement Program processes, including action plans and safety-event responses.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, company policies, quality standards, and risk-management initiatives.
  • Maintain facility environmental integrity and security and schedule equipment, operating-system, and facility repairs.
  • Coordinate inventory and supply management, approve purchase orders, and ensure efficient use of medications, laboratory supplies, inventory, and equipment.
  • Support billing, collections, provider contracts, policy development, manuals, employee recognition programs, and communication of corporate initiatives.
  • Participate in internal and external state and federal surveys.
  • Travel to regional, Business Unit, and Corporate meetings as required.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role in a medical facility.
  • Medical/surgical or intensive care unit/coronary care unit experience.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with medical database software.
