Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is hiring a Mission Assurance Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals supporting the E-2D program. The Mission Assurance Manager 2 will support the E-2D Production and Fleet Sustainment Mission Assurance Program Manager (MAPM) in a Deputy role. The MAPM has responsibility for ensuring quality requirements across the E-2D program by providing leadership and management to assigned personnel and serving as a member of the IPT. This leadership opportunity will be located in Melbourne, FL.
Responsibilities include:
- Drive Mission Assurance compliance to requirements to meet program goals including QMP, CSIMP, CDRLs and associated PROP.
- Assign appropriate Mission Assurance staffing levels to meet direct cost budget targets for all programs. Provide weekly feedback to E-2 Program Leadership on achievement to plan on direct labor cost.
- Perform investigations and release Problem Alerts and MROs (Material Recall Orders) based on Supplier Disclosures and RFI’s (Requests for Investigation) received.
- Production Quality liaison with St. Augustine in support of quality issues on the E-2D Production and Fleet Sustainment Programs.
- Support supplier related PAL (Provisional Acceptance Letter) generation and release across E-2D Production and Fleet Sustainment Programs.
- Review and approve PCMs (Program Coordination Memos) directing work across E-2D Production and Fleet Sustainment Programs.
- Draft, review and approve RFVs (Requests For Variance) as required for the Navy.
- Ensure GIDEPS are processed and closed through Sentinel system and counterfeit mitigation is carried out across all E-2D Production and Fleet Sustainment Programs.
- Support TSMRR and SMRRs closures across programs and drive closure of SMRRs that require NAVAIR approval.
- Support Mission Assurance SOW (Statement of Work) reviews and labor estimates on new program Bids and Proposals and existing program contract updates.
- Review and approve change packages through TRB (Technical Review Boards) and CCB (Change Control Boards) across E-2D Production and Fleet Sustainment Programs.
- Enter and review Risk, Issues and Opportunities in TRIO program and support Risk, Issue & Opportunity review meetings.
- Investigate and respond to all E-2D Production and Fleet Sustainment Program PQDRs & AIDRs.
- Nurture customer relationships with NAVAIR and DCMA. Utilize Q2Q to identify key risks & issues to improve DCMA Customer Satisfaction, maintain Melbourne Site Q2Q Agenda bi-weekly.
- Provide leadership to ensure effective management of DCMA CARs with the goal of reducing and ultimately eliminating repetitive process or product failures.
- Engage with NAVAIR customer at weekly Tag Review meetings, weekly FARM (Fielding Action Review Meetings), and recurring PAL / DD250 meetings.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years of experience in the Quality, Mission Assurance, Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries or a Master’s degree and 7 years of experience in Quality, Mission Assurance, Aircraft, Aerospace or Manufacturing Industries
- A minimum of 5 years lead/leadership experience
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action
- Must be able to acquire a DoD Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
- Strong orientation to change in a dynamic environment
- Sophisticated level of understanding of complex quality policies, procedures, governmental regulations and workflow
- Ability to analyze alternative courses of action where decisions have risk/reward implications for program or area of influence

Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
