Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with 8 or more years of experience, an associate’s degree with 6 or more years of experience, a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree with 2 or more years of experience, or a Master of Business Administration or Master of Science degree with any years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience in protein purification, cell culture operations, and solution formulation.

  • Ability to move heavy equipment, stand for long periods, and walk throughout the manufacturing suite, including up and down stairs.

  • Ability to take necessary safety precautions when working with pressurized systems, steam, and corrosive chemicals.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to moderately complex projects by managing time effectively and developing short-term work plans.
  • Design tools and plan production sequences in line with continuous improvement practices such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Execute process activities according to Standard Operating Procedures, including protein purification, cell culture operations, and equipment preparation.
  • Serve as technical support within the group, collaborate with external teams, and act as the operations point of contact for campaign start-up and technology transfer.
  • Coordinate area clearance and product changeover within the manufacturing process, and assist with process monitoring and data analysis.
  • Communicate process performance across shifts and departments, implement process enhancements, and support integration of new technologies.
  • Assist with procurement and validation of new equipment, support audits, and conduct skills training while providing subject matter expertise for training materials.

  • Experience using common artificial intelligence tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity, along with understanding of responsible artificial intelligence practices including risk management and ethical use.

By 2025, these two drugs generated combined annual sales exceeding $25 billion, replacing Humira's peak revenue and pushing total company revenue to record highs. AbbVie's free-cash-flow dividend payout ratio stands at 65%, lower than Pfizer's 89%.

FDA approves Pfizer-BioNTech XFG-adapted COVID-19 vaccine for high-risk groups

Pfizer and BioNTech have received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for their 2026-2027 COVID-19 vaccine targeting the XFG variant. The vaccine is approved for adults aged 65 and older, and individuals aged 5 to 64 with underlying conditions that increase risk of severe COVID-19 outcomes.
