Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of factory-related experience is required.
  • Experience as a Machine Operator is required.
  • Familiarity with basic machine functions is required.
  • Ability to perform the listed machine-shop and mold-press operations, including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, molding, bench operations, and inspections.
  • Ability to perform preventative machine maintenance according to preventive-maintenance charts.
  • Training in general safety, electrostatic discharge awareness, foreign object damage awareness, and quality system awareness.
  • Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move 25 pounds.
  • The role requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, the ability to adjust focus, and the ability to occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing plant with extreme temperature fluctuations and a noisy environment.
Responsibilities
  • Perform typical machine-shop and mold-press operations to support the assembly floor.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines as required by the preventive-maintenance charts.
  • Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, molding, bench operations, and inspections.
  • Accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine setup.
