Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering or a related discipline, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally as part of an established and growing team.
  • Interest and ability to grow within the program management function.
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company organization.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism, including formulas, scientific equations, and graphs, in its most difficult phases.
  • Demonstrated experience with accounting, database, and project management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills, for analysis, summarization, and communication.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands to lift or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds, and have close/color vision ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work outside core business hours as required.
  • Must qualify as a US Person for programs subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations, meaning a US Citizen, qualifying Permanent Resident, or political asylee.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in program planning and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain status and visibility tools, and provide analysis, insights, and recommendations based on program performance data.
  • Assist with oversight and coordination of vendor activities and communication.
  • Comprehend and monitor assigned aspects of a program and report status.
  • Coordinate or assist with coordinating program reviews and meetings.
  • Organize and facilitate communications between the customer and company personnel, including official document submittals and coordination memos.
  • Provide leadership and coordination of team-based solutions to program issues.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new program team members to support their quicker effectiveness.
  • Develop methods and procedures for managing programs.
  • Assist with or take the primary role in developing or administering program change orders.
  • Assist with part procurement and status as required.
  • Assist in maintaining program performance tools.
  • Participate in risk and opportunity identification and follow-on action planning and execution.
  • Assist with final inspection and the closing process as required.
  • Ensure assigned small-scale projects progress on schedule, within budget, and meet or exceed minimum quality standards, including post-delivery support when applicable.
  • Comprehend contractual obligations and statements of work for assigned programs and provide guidance to other program team members as required.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining departmental policies, procedures, and reporting.
  • Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and full-shift coverage.
