Requirements
  • Must have an active Work-Study Award.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.
  • Must be available to work Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10 am and 4 pm.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong reliability, professionalism, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and push at least 30 pounds.
  • A criminal history background check is required for finalists.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States full-time for any employer without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome visitors and provide customer service, answer questions, assist students as needed, and support daily front-desk operations and administrative tasks.
  • Open and close the CNS Outpost Food Pantry, stock shelves, maintain an organized pantry space, monitor inventory levels, and assist with supply organization.
  • Receive, sort, log, and process food and supply donations; accurately record visitor and donation information using management software; and assist with inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Prepare, pick up, and deliver supplies to pantry satellite locations as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with university policies and applicable laws.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Stand, walk, stock shelves, organize supplies, take inventory, and lift or move pantry items.
Desired Qualifications
  • Current College of Natural Sciences student.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience providing customer service or working with diverse populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with data entry, inventory management, or administrative support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications or the ability to quickly learn new software systems such as Macintosh computers.
  • Interest in student wellness, food security initiatives, community engagement, or campus resources.
