About the Role:
Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX) is offering the opportunity to gain clinical science experience in the world of biotechnology. Our intern program offers exposure to the drug development process in rare disease. The intern will have the opportunity to work with a supervising team member on existing Ph2 clinical trials, collaborate with a cross-functional team, make meaningful contributions to clinical programs, and learn about working in the pharmaceutical industry. The internship will conclude with a formal presentation to the larger research team.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
Organizing and performing study level and individual subject level review and analysis of clinical trial data
Assisting in review and editing of study-related materials (Informed Consent Forms, Case Report Forms, CRF instructions, site memos, clinical-regulatory documents, vendor specification and site-facing instructions)
Preparing reports and presentations
Maintaining accurate, detailed trackers; assist in follow up of action items as needed
Contributing to study start-up and amendment activities as needed, including testing data systems, reviewing checklists, finalizing study documents and plans
Participating in meetings and discussions
Collaborating with a mentor team of cross-functional team members as well as the other interns in the class
Completing a special project and presenting the recommendations to senior management upon completion
Requirements:
Pursuing an undergraduate degree with an interest in biotechnology and/or clinical science
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry would be an asset but is not required
Comfortable with analyzing and summarizing data, working in excel or other similar data programs
Familiarity with biopharmaceutical technologies, physical and life sciences, product development, and regulatory approval processes is desirable
Ability to work independently with daily check-ins while working collaboratively with Neurocrine staff
Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and organizational capabilities
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think creatively and be a team player
Offer flexibility with a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Bring to the Company a skill set complementary to its technology and development therapeutics
